Privacy policy

Effective October 2, 2026. This policy describes the account and interaction features of Promptcat at promptcat.org. Contact: betathinking@gmail.com.

Google sign-in and account data

Browsing cases does not require an account. If you choose Google sign-in, Promptcat requests your basic Google identity and profile (openid and profile). We use your Google account identifier and display name to create and recognize your Promptcat account. We do not request access to Gmail, Drive, contacts or your Google password. Google handles your password and consent.

Likes and saved cases

We store your account identifier, display name, account creation time, liked and saved case identifiers, and the time of those actions. We use this information to remember your choices across sessions and devices. Aggregate like counts are public. Your saved list and individual like history are returned only to your signed-in account; they are not published as a public profile.

Cookies and security

We use an essential login cookie with a session lifetime of up to 30 days and a short-lived cookie to protect the Google sign-in flow. Session tokens are stored as hashes on the server. Signing out revokes the current session. Expired session and sign-in records are cleaned up during later sign-in attempts. Hosting and security providers may also process request information and set security cookies to deliver and protect the site.

Service providers and external content

Google processes authentication. Our hosting infrastructure, including Sites and Cloudflare, processes stored account records and requests needed to operate Promptcat. Embedded previews and external links may contact services such as GitHub and X, which process requests under their own policies. We do not use the Google account data collected by these features for advertising, sell it, or use it to train AI models.

Your choices and deletion

You can remove individual likes and saved cases using their buttons and sign out at any time. Account records remain available for future sign-ins until deleted. To request deletion of your Promptcat account and associated likes, saved cases and sessions, contact the support email above; we may ask you to verify ownership. You can also revoke Promptcat access in your Google Account. Revoking access does not by itself delete data already stored by Promptcat.

Changes

We will update this page and its effective date when the practices described here change.
